Introducing The Turing-Welchman Pen, a limited edition of 211 pens designed to celebrate the achievement of Alan Turing and Gordon Welchman, who created the Turing-Welchman Bombe machine used to break Enigma-enciphered messages during WWII. Each pen is numbered and features a sterling silver top with the 26 letters of the alphabet etched into the surface, just like the actual Bombe drum. The wide sterling silver cap band displays the word "Victory", and the UK hallmarks attest to its quality. Engraved on the barrel are the words “The Turing-Welchman Pen” to keep alive the memory of these most ingenious men. There's also a secret compartment to hold a small scroll of paper, perfect for a hidden message. Available as a Fountain Pen or a Rollerball, a portion of each pen sold is given to The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park, home to the world's largest collection of working historic computers.
